It's been a long time, but here I am again. I'm going to take up the theme that was begun last year when I began Re-Intro. I've gone into the proof for God's existence, authenticity and truth of the Bible as His sole book of spiritual and moral truth, its divine origin, and the proofs, both from the Bible and outsied sources, of the Deity of Jesus of Nazereth, and His resurrection. I've introduced the means that one becomes a Christian, and its relationship to Jesus and His purpose in coming to this world. At this point I have begun to share what I've learned about the Holy Spirit, from the Bible, and how He is like a microchip inserted into a computer, the microchip of God inserted into every Christian, which, if exercised, gives the intelligence, power, and character to live, not merely as a religious practitioner, but as a whole and complete human being, in spite of one's very human flaws. I take up where I was, discussing the most controversial aspect of the Holy Spirit's entry and presence in the human heart, or spirit, the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.

The first thing to remember about the Baptism of the Spirit is that you have to disregard about 90% of what you have heard on the subject. If you don't, you're guaranteed to become confused and frustrated. There's a good chance that you'll simply renounce the whole "Christian thing" as an exercise in futility.

Just remember this: When you first become a Christian, the microchip of God is implanted. When you are baptized in water, God cleanses-purges out all the harmful programs and viruses and equips you with your firewall protection (We'll deal with that later.). When you are baptized with the Holy Spirit Himself, you get all of the programs and accessories needed to make you able to be as complete and whole a person as you can be in this imperfect body in this flawed world, and able to help change your world around you. And if you're willing to let your Webmaster take charge of the unit that is you, that change you'll affect is far greater than you can possibly imagine. And understand, God doesn't think of you as a machine or an android, this is about making you much more human, not less.

We'll take up the talk about the Spirit tomorrow.
